It is with deep sadness that we report the untimely passing of Kseniya Alexandrova, a former Miss Universe contestant from Russia. At the age of 30, Kseniya’s life was tragically cut short following a car accident involving an elk in Tver Oblast, Russia.

A Rising Star

Born on November 12, 1994, in Moscow, Kseniya Alexandrova was a model, television host, psychologist, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained national prominence as the first runner-up in the Miss Russia 2017 pageant and represented her country in the Miss Universe 2017 competition. Although she did not place in the top 16, her poise and grace left a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.

The Tragic Accident

On July 5, 2025, while traveling with her husband, Ilya, Kseniya was involved in a devastating car accident. An elk suddenly leapt onto the road, crashing through the windshield of their vehicle. Despite wearing seatbelts and driving at a low speed, the impact caused severe head trauma to Kseniya, who was in the passenger seat. She was immediately hospitalized but succumbed to her injuries on August 12 after spending days in a coma.

A Life of Accomplishments

Beyond her beauty queen title, Kseniya was a woman of intellect and compassion. She graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 2016 with a degree in Finance and Credit. In 2020, she completed her studies at the High School of Cinema and Television “Ostankino.” Most recently, in 2022, she earned a degree in Psychology from Moscow Pedagogical State University and worked as a psychodrama therapist.

Following her passing, tributes poured in from friends, family, and colleagues. Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, described her as “bright and talented,” noting her ability to inspire, support, and give warmth to everyone around her. They remembered her as a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.
